Faces of Alayna

Alayna is so animated with her facial expressions that I wanted to gather some faces we have captured and share them with you starting from when she was born. Sorry they are out of order. I tried to post them in order, but when I added pictures, the new ones showed up first. Sorry too for the picture overload! There are just so many to choose from! I had a hard time choosing just these few!!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great weekend! There is a park around here that has an event over Memorial Day weekend with hot air balloons. We were on our way to my moms when we saw several balloons being inflated. They were in various areas where you could just pull over and get out for a look! Daniel loved it! I did too! It was so cool to be so close to them! Then on Sunday we went to the event, called Freedom Aloft with my mom and brother and saw maybe 50 hot air balloons in the air. It was pretty neat! Daniel is still talking about the balloons!! On Monday Jeff, Chan Wey, my mom and brother came over for a cookout. It is so nice to have family around to spend time with!!

Strawberry Picking

Daniel and I went strawberry picking a couple weeks ago. We had so much fun! I was so thankful that my mom could come over to watch Alayna so Daniel and I could have some special time together!! I loved spending some time with just him! He was so excited to pick the strawberries, however, I think more ended up in his mouth than the bag! He is so sweet and so cute!!

So much to tell!!

Well! It has been so long since I have posted and so much has happened in the past month! Brian's parents came for a visit for a little over a week and we had so much fun! Daniel and Alayna had so much fun with them! They are so great at getting Daniel outside to play which is something I struggle with now that Alayna is here and Daniel has so much fun! We were able to celebrate Brian's birthday with my family and Brian's family. Brian wanted lamb, so I made my first leg of lamb. I was quite nervous, but it turned out pretty yummy! Daniel moved into his new room and his big boy bed which he loves. The room is bigger so that he can have a lot of his toys up there instead of all over downstairs. There's still a ton of toys downstairs though too! :-) Alayna's two bottom teeth pushed through. I wasn't as excited about seeing her teeth as I was when Daniel's first teeth came through though! My baby is getting so big! Speaking of big, she weighs 15 lbs now. She is still tiny for her age, (3rd %tile) but she is staying on that curve, so the doctor said everything is fine. She loves to eat her baby food. We are also giving her some table food. She likes bananas a lot! We have also given her a couple bites of veggie burger which she enjoyed too! Alayna also started crawling about two weeks ago! And she is also pulling herself up on tables, toys and chairs! Things are much more interesting now that she is crawling. She is now able to get into Daniel's toys, which he is not always too pleased with. He is getting so big and just gets sweeter every day!

Easter

We spent Easter Sunday with my mom, Bobby, Jeff, Chan Wey and their friend Yi Li. We had dinner at our house, had an egg hunt in the yard and colored eggs. The worship service at church was great. A few people were baptized and the message was great. What an awesome day to celebrate the whole reason for our faith!

Fun at the Zoo

On Saturday Jeff and Chan Wey asked if they could take Daniel to the zoo. Of course Brian wanted to go with them, so Brian, Jeff, Chan Wey, Daniel and Alayna went to the zoo. I was working on Daniel's "Big Boy" bed and had a lot to do for Easter since we were having dinner at our house so I stayed home. This was the second time since Alayna was born that I had the house to myself! Boy was I able to get a lot accomplished! ;-) They had a really good time! Daniel loved seeing the animals and he said the lions were his favorite. Brian of course had fun with his photography. Isn't that a great picture of the giraffe? We are so lucky to have Jeff and Chan Wey here! Daniel just adores them and has so much fun with them!
